16x20” gouache painting on arches paper. Included with a gold frame.
One of the paintings from the Twelve Nights On Heaven's Headrest, created for the 2023 Bassetti Architects Artist Residency and exhibited at the Kristen Ramirez gallery in Museum of Museums in 2023.
Huang Long is said to have emerged from the River Luo, and presented Emperor Fu Xi with the elements of writing. He is often the dragon associated with the 12 zodiacal animals from the tale of the Great Race, and symbolizes the center of the four cardinal directions. He is said to be a reincarnation of the Yellow Emperor, Huangdi - one of the firsts, if not the very first, text on medicine, establishing the foundations for Traditional Chinese Medicine.
